Oklahoma SOHC's?
« on: April 23, 2006, 04:16:12 PM »
I don't suppose we have any members in the State of Oklahoma, do we?  I don't see anybody else on the map.  Seeing as how mine isn't running yet, It's not too important yet, but it would be nice to find someone local to compare notes with.  Seeing that we do have members in the state of Texas, I'll point out that I'm not a Okie, I just live here!  (Actually, the truth is worse... I'm a Californian!) ;D

Where in Oklahoma? I'm not in Oklahoma, I'm in western central Arkansas about 10-12 miles
south of Fort Smith. How far away are you? Not a problem about the none running bike. I don't
      have a running SOHC4, at this time, either. Only an 80' 750 Non SOHC4 (called a DOHC4)! But, I'm
working on it though. Later on, Bill

I'm here on the western edge of Oklahoma City, almost dead center of the state.  I'm hoping to finally get to work on the bike soon.  When I bought it, it was pretty rough, and letting it sit for almost 4 years has probably not helped any although it has been garaged this whole time.  It's still going to be a week or two before I can get to it and see if she still runs.  At least it was running when I got it, it's only major problem was it needed new tires, drive chain and sprockets.  Looking forward to getting it out into the daylight and at least getting some "before" pictures to post on the forum.

Anyone of you boys work on these bikes? I have a problem with the wiring and can`t figure it out. I gotta believe it`s a ground issue. But it would be cool for one of my fellow SOHC`ers to come by the house, drink some cold beverages and maybe work alittle on the scooters...

Add one more for Tulsa, Bought my 78' 750A about two weeks ago. There is a classic bike show on brookside in Tulsa coming up on oct 4th, would be a lot of fun to go to.  Unfortunately, that's also the only date I could get into a riders course without missing a home OSU football game so I won't be there.
