Topic: Popping and smoke

Hey all,

Ok so I heard some popping or backfiring through the carbs so I riched the mix a bit and it stopped!

So later Im out cruising and then I notice the popping returned this time with blue/whiteish smoke pouring out the back.  Any ideas ehat this could be.  It only smokes when it pops, and it pops off and on, very weird.

good change you are running TOO rich. check your plugs to be sure. You could also be getting oil blowing by the rings. I know if that happens, the smoke can be white in some cases. I had an old nissan that had this happen. oil was overfilled and it blew white smoke till the excess was used up.
