All i found on ebay worldwide was a Vespa badge and a seat for a Kawasaki. Are these seats unobtanium? I wonder if a good upholsterer would be able to copy using my original pan. Anybody have good luck having custom seats made?

Carpy over at http://www.cb750cafe.com will make you whatever seat style you want, for a price. Or, find a king & queen seat and carve one out yourself...

check out ebay.de and search for giuliari

Currently 44 different seats on there. Once you find a picture of something you like, you can run the page through Google for a translation.

Now if only I could AFFORD one of them...

yeah was happy with it, it was destined for the F1, but then i didnt account for the tool box!!!!, and i didnt want to cut or remove it, so will get another bike after i have finished studying, and put it on that bike.... peace

It has come leaps and bounds from how it looked when I first brought it home...

Next project is to get the exhaust to fit the bike alittle "tighter", and make it look like
it was actually made for this bike, and not something I ran over on the road and got caught on the frame

. The sound of the MAC (without the baffle) is kick-ass, but the overall fit-ment is horrible...

Also gonna focus on the front-end and clean up that next. Smooth top triple tree is needed to get rid of the "dashboard", and the tach is gonna go bye-bye I think. Justgonna get a replacement top tree and grind/cut/smooth it the best I can, then flush mount some idiot lights and call it a day...

Tom Summers makes a really nice smooth top tripple tree. I 'think' they are $100 but the parts link on the page isn't working at the moment. He's a great guy to deal with so if you shoot him an email I'm sure he can help you out.

Hiya,

I thought I throw in a couple of pics of my Cafe project bike on that 4in1 exhaust subject as I trial fitted my Marving system today. When I bought this exhaust courtesy of eBay Motors PO said 'sure, it's fitting all CB500/550..". Needless to say it didn't. The rear bracket on the muffler didn't line up with the stock holder on the frame. Some happy swearing, welding and grinding later it did.

ProTeal55, just for statistics: ground clearance is 3.5" approx., while the gap between sump and exhaust is just .12".
The bike's front been lowered 1" to match the rear hight (Koni shocks + 130 wheel on Harley rim).

Btw: your new seat looks killer on that bike.

That bike u have cookin is killer.

After about 200 miles with the 4 into 1 on my scoot, I have only had pipe-2-ground "love" a few times. Def. less than I thought. I scrape on hard inclines and such, but never once while actually riding, which surprises me with the crap-ass streets around here. Still need to cut-up the rear part of the exhaust to make it fit alittle better, then once all thats done I still plan to headerwrap the entire thing.

Nothing much else going on with the scoot, as I am almost burned out. I have been driving my 55 allot, and doing some things to it that I have been putting off becasue I was messing with the bike. The CB teardown begins in the fall (when it gets too cold to ride)...

If anyone wants to give me $5K for my bike , I could use a new motor for the 55
