yO ,

First of all I want to thank everyone that has helped me out, and to all who have put their two cents in when I asked questions...
The bike is finally getting somewhere (even though it won't move at the momment)

Here's how the bike looked when I first took delivery of it about a year ago -------->

Had some time today , and wanted to get some pics of the bike as it stands. Dropped off the 16'' rear wheel today for a new tire, and that should be going on later next week. Still need to get the front brakes sorted out, sync the carbs, etc. Prob. gonna do a cafe style seatpan to help aid my back with the new clip-on's, untill I get my solo seat idea figured out. Still have some finned covers to install, new oil lines, and some other "hardcore" things to add...

Starting to actually look like I want it to....

No, they arent the stockers. Those were garbage, and never liked them from the day I bought the bike. The ones on their now are cheap-o ones from http://HTTP://WWW.CRC2ONLINECATALOG.COMThey are in their "chopper" catalogue. They were chrome, but after I got done with them they are have a nice brushed alum. look to them.

It's amazing what you can "Make Fit" when it's time to look for customer parts.

5/2/2006--->
The bike is going to my buddies shop this Friday to get the front-end "issue" resolved, 16'' HD rear wheel and tire
installed, New chain, and a few other things done to it. Should have it back in a week or so.

Still undecided on what to do about a seat on the bike. The stock seat looks 10 times better than that thing I had before
was on their, but I need to do something. Either a solo seat with swingarm mounted rear fender, or some sort of "cafe" style
fiberglass seatpan..

i think a solo seat with the swingarm mounted fender would look great. this is an extremely rough randition of what i have in mind eventually for my 650. this is of course after an extended swingarm and tipped up exhaust, and would have all black paint, but i mostly wanted to see what it would look like with this style seat.

I have been thinking about something along the lines of your photochop for my scoot as well. Check out the pic below, as the guy is
doing the exact thing you want to his scoot. I am following his build over at http://HTTP://WWW.CHOPPERUNDERGROUND.COM. I know it's a yamaha, but still the general same idea.. Still unsure of what I really want to do , except ride the damn thing...

yeah i hear ya, i've been waiting on new sprockets and a chain for 2 weeks now, and today is the nicest day i've seen this season. that should be a pretty sweet looking yamaha when it's done. it's pretty much my plan for if i get another bike, i'll have one as a daily driver and work on the other one to resemble my photochop.

I think my main issue (among many) is that I have/like too many ideas, and am trying to stuff them all onto one bike.

I got the front-end pretty much done, just need to focus on the rear. Whatever I do with the seat/tail section will make or break the bike's overall look. If I do a cafe seatpan, it will be classified as a CAFE , if I do a solo seat, it will be more of a bobber/custom, etc...Still unsure of what I am gonna do about the seat.

Have decided to re-install some sort of turn signals on the bike. I plan on actually putting some miles on it this season, and dont feel like getting killed by the guy behind me in the SUV who doesnt understand what hand signals are

..I plan to mount two small bullet type lights on a bracket, mounted to where the stock horn used to be, facing forwards. If I can mount them in tight enough, the average person won't notice them. For the rear, I just need to do some wiring to the lights I allready have on their to make them blink again..

You have got to have one of the only CB750's around with twin disc brakes on a 21" spoke wheel. Very cool!

yeah thats similar to what i'm thinking, but that still looks cafe style to me, just the way the seat is still straight across the top and extends out still, i'm looking for a more angled seat, stopping right at the back of the seat, and more of a deep seat, which i think would be easier with a cb, because the tank is higher at the back and angles more sharply at the back, well at least mine is, i'm not sure what bike that is. it sure is nice though.

Hi,

Just curious where you got your 4-2 pipes from and if you have a silencer on them or are they straight piped.

I want to put on 4-2 pipes on my bike and I'm going to the wrecker on the weekend to see what I can find. If I had a model of bike or year that would help. I'm considering getting stock 4-4 pipes, cutting them up and fabricating my own collectors, but of course I would prefer to just buy something that's available.

Do you think that straight pipes would be too loud? I want to be heard cause I believe it's safer... and cooler

Ya, I have yet to see another person with this particular setup, but I am sure he is out their somewhere

. You would be surprised on the number of people who have wicked cars/bikes/trucks/etc that never go on the internet, and join websites like this. Those are the people you see at random car/bike shows & cruise nights...

I am a big fn of the 4 into 2 that came on my scoot. I am not sure if it is stock Honda, or aftermarket, and really dont care. The mufflers themselves are starting to show some signs of rot, so new ones will be in the near future. I am gonna do some sorta industrial looking / automotive dragracing "bullet" type mufflers, which is in the works. I like the 4 into 2 becasue it gives sound on BOTH sides of the bike, rather than just one. LOUD PIPES SAVE LIVES. I am a big supporter of that quote...

Bike is being trailered to my buddies shop tomorrow night , to get the friggin front-end "issues" taken care of, some general maint. , and a good look over. I never claimed to be a motorcycle mechanic, but my buddy actually is by trade. So he is gonna use his trained eyes to give the scoot a good once over, to make sure I dont end my life too early becasue of something I overlooked. Have some more finned covers to install, new plugs, etc. My 16'' HD real wheel will be going on as well, with my new super sticky 130mm rear tire. Lots of big smokey burnouts will be in my near future

What kind of bullet mufflers are you thinking about

? My mufflers on my 2-2s are rusting bad, bringing the whole bike down

I can't tell ya EXACTLY what I am doing, that would ruin the whole surprise

I am prob gonna just keep the stock header pipes, and do something funky with the mufflers..

The only issue with using automotive parts, especially "HIGH PREFORMANCE" parts, is the inlet sizes are gonna be way bigger than whats stock on these bikes. I should have something going with the exhaust by mid summer...
