A zebra was roaming the veldt on day mumbling to himself. When asked what he was mumbling about he said " I am trying to figure out if I am white with black stripes or black with white stripes!"
It was suggested that he ask the elephant, but the elephant told him that while he, the elephant, never forgot, he did not know.
The elephant suggested he ask the lion, which he did and the lion told him that while he, the lion was the king of beasts, he had no idea and suggested that he ask God who made all of the animals.
So the zebra prayed to God to please tell the answer to the riddle that was driving the zebra batty. After a few minutes the zebra heard a deep voice that said " You are what you are!"
The zebra went galloping all over the veldt loudly proclaiming that he was white with black stripes.
When asked how Gods response told him that he replied, " If I was black with white stripes, God would have said " You is what you is!"
