what did you need to do to fit the rear wheel?

the swap needs some modification.

rear wheel needs to align the sprocket and the spacers.

front wheel fairly easy. However, I want to use the clubman handlebar, so will replace triple tree with 84 ZN700A triple. will update pics later.

Frame paint looks really good. did you paint it recently? I'll be following this as well!

plan change. Will stay with the ninja triple tree.

yes, frame painted before I cut the tail, now it got newly fresh paint recently.

Rear wheel is a paint in the..... sprocket alignment not line up right, I might need to check with other friends on here to see what kinna sprockets and chain they are using.

The 250 Ninja brake conversion is very interesting. Although the 400F weighs a little more than the 250; I'm sure the brakes will work great. Keep us posted. Thanks

still some works left to be done. Right now I am trying to putting pieces together before I give it final paint job. This bike has been sitting outside for so long before I picked it up, so lots of rust and dirt. Here are few pics as of today.

Looks great, but as I commented on another thread a little while ago, with an 18 month jump between posts it seems like we are missing something.

So, how did you resolve the spacing issues with the rear wheel?

How does that front end work for you? What did you have to do to adapt the speedometer?

sorry for the delay answer. I was busy with other project and totally forgot about this forum.

all you need to do is to replace sprockets and chain to fit the ninja rear wheel. I had to shorter the bolts that holding the rear wheel sprockets a bit to clear room.


Love the ninja front end. smooth into corner and love the upgrade of disc brake.

use ninja 250 speedometer cable--it works with cb400F odometer.
