i know k2 and k6 are the same, so I'd bet on all 69-76k's being the same. Just match the part numbers

PM'd?

Anyhow, searching on this site I saw others asking similar questions but not a clear cut answer.  Most suggest checking part numbers but I'm not sure if that means the part has a number on it or compare a parts list from one year to the next to be sure it is the same.  I guess I need some parts lists.  Someone did state that the a 72 stand would not work on a 73.  Could be correct.  Another stated k0-5 are all interchangeable.  That could be true also.

Since I'm a newbie with a Cylmer repair manual I don't want to assume that one year's take off bought on ebay will fit my 1975 bike without modification.  Most people don't know or list their part numbers on ebay so I either have to spend $15-50 bucks to learn the answer or start asking if anyone knows.

I used the center stand on my CX500 regularly since I didn't trust the wobbles on my kick stand.  My CB750 looks like the kickstand is even weaker and it did not come with a center stand.  I'm not in a hurry since I'll have it on a jack before I start working with it but i know I need/want one.

Thanks,

I use Motogrid.com for their parts fishys. Free.  Many others are just as good, I'm just used to Motogrid.

The stand for the K1 and the K5 (1974 inclusive) carry the exact same part numbers = same stand. I'm guessing the 1969 thru 1978 "K" stands are all the same, but I'll leave it up to you'all. I've given you the source.

And tips to newbies. While your bike titles carry model years on them, Honda doesn't care about that. You need to know what "K" series you are to look at micro fisches and buy parts.

Thanks,

Download the factory service manual here: http://www.honda4fun.com/man_officina/man_officina.html
Then download the parts list: http://www.honda4fun.com/spaccati/spaccati.html

Much more useful than the Clymer manual.  ;) :)
