attn San Fran people
« on: September 02, 2011, 06:04:53 AM »
just wondering how long after your big earthquake did the aftershocks subside.
The reason I ask this is we are coming up to a year after our first big one and have had very damaging ones happening every 3 months or so. We have about 3 active fault lines at the moment, but I am pleased with lots of small shakes, don't like more than a day passing without something happening.

Don't know that you can directly compare the two.  But, I don't remember ours lasting more than a few weeks at most.

We've had similar problems after many of our natural (and man made) disasters...9/11, Hurricane Katrina, The 1906 San Francisco Quake...just to name a few.
