YET ANOTHER 550 RE-REBUILD DOCUMENTARY....
« on: May 08, 2006, 07:15:16 PM »
I took it apart last winter, and started working on it last month. It all started with dual disk fantasies, It ended up with me polishing hubs, building wheels, reworking the electrics and installing rotary switches, NISSIN master cylinder, new tires, new stainless hardware, thin wallet.......  I have been watching PROTEALs titanic struggle with the brakes, I hope mine work out, I started with a seized caliper...I am waiting anxiously for the next problem..

Hey Chippy !
I can only pray that you have 1/2 the issues I have had with my CB in the past month. But, when you take something that is working, and go and mess with it, you ALWAYS leave yourself open for issues/problems/etc... My scoot is going to the best oldschool Jap shop in the city tomorrow, and though it will cost some cash ::), I know the bike will be 100% when I pick it up..

Keep the progress pics comming.....
