It's really nice.
Check out this link of a cb750 that recently sold before it drops off Ebay.

Why worry about tomorrow for tomorrow has enough troubles of it's own.

What the heck is the sense in buying a vehicle just to put it in a glass case so to speak. Unless it's a super rare one of a kind never to be seen again article. So what was the intent when this guy bought the bike in the first place? I not only love bikes but cars as well. There's nothing I like better than hitting the vintage races at Road America and seeing those guys put the peddle to the medal and doing what the those cars were built to do. I say hail to guys like Augie Pabst

Wonder if the engine turns over at all or if the pistons are frozen. Stupid to buy something and never ride it. It sure looks nice though.

Nevermind the pistons being frozen...even without ever having gas in it I bet it'll need a carb rebuild !  ;D

Sorry...just my resentment over having to tackle mine again coming out... :'(

There was a CB550K3 for sale on eBay UK a while back with 3 miles on the clock. Sold for £3,250

Also a 250 Superdream with 11 miles went for £2k.

If I had one, I'd sell it and buy 5 replacements!

You could get one for each day of the week and work out weekends as a rotation. ;D

I got an extra CB550 engine for free but it was frozen so I used coka cola to free-up the pistons. It runs fine now and I swapped it with my CB500 unit so I can overhaul that engine.

Hi Ted.

I got a CB550 engine for £20 from "Number8" and plan to do the same.  My 500 is missing 3rd gear right now and I feel a voyage of exploration to find the missing gear. In the meantime, I want to fit the 550 to keep me on the road.

Did you have any trouble fitting it?
