750K Cases and F2 Head?
« on: October 16, 2011, 11:35:29 AM »
Hey all, new to the forum and have a question. I just recently bought a 1977 CB750F and was looking at the markings on the cases and the head. The case is stamped CB750E-2602429, and the head has 410 cast in to it. This means the case is from a 76' 750K and the head is an actual F2 head, correct? What issues could I have with this setup when I go to rebuild the motor? I wonder what pistons and cam are in the bike...

The bike had last been plated in 1992, but didn't take much to get running. Now I just need to wait for my airbox to come. I put on some pod filters from a different bike, but any wind would cause the bike to run all over the place. When it gets good airflow the bike hauls.
