N00B starting here
« on: May 16, 2006, 04:22:01 AM »
Hey guys
I'm Brian, been reading this site since i got my bike a month ago, just now posting.
This is a great site, good info, (and its free info)
Im young so this bike is just a good learning experience for me
1981 Honda CB650C 20k miles, runs great ($700 how could i say no???)
since I boucht it a month ago:
new drive chain
new front tire
changed motor oil
changed fork oil
Kreem coated gas tank
replaced turn signals
adjusted valve clearance
cleaned carbs
cleaned bike
catching up on 10k miles worth of maintenance
Anyway, thought i'd introduce myself here, even though i already asked a question in the Tech Forum   :o

Glad to see you're starting out the right way by getting all the regular maintenance stuff out of the way.  That's the only way to know for sure when the last time it was done, and you also know it was done right!

Welcome! :)

Brian, Greetings and Salutations,

Sorry about how long ago this was, I must have missed this one :-[

I find I must give you a word of caution though, keep an eye on your tank, I have had tanks Kreem'd and every one of them the kreem got brittle and flaked. My local radiator shop did my latest tank and used this new stuff that stays supple and won't flake.

Cheers and Good Riding,

Jeff
