2011 Harvest Classic - Luckenbach Texas
« on: October 22, 2011, 04:29:21 PM »
Wow, what a great event today!   One that would have been even greater if I had actually ridden my bike there! >:(
My K5 was as nice or better than any of the other 750's.  Oh well.

Great turnout, there were more bikes than I could count of all makes & vintages.  I've never seen 10 Vincents all together!
Anyway, I filled my camera.
I'll post more photos later, man there were some seriously sweet bikes there today!
Did anyone else go?

A few more. There were at least three triples there, including a nice purple one.

There were some posts about the Harvest Classic in the Texas riders thread.
I saw Omar & the Howlers play a few good songs.

I was there!
Great weekend! Thats my campsite (my orange Marmot tent and camo bag) and crew in the picture with my buddies 350/4.
My 750f and orange cl350 are kind of visible in the back. That 350 is not only looks good but sounds amazing. We have been told the pipes on it were a Honda special order item from the dealer.

The band was great! Boozed it up and 2stepped for awhile Friday night. Good times.

I always wondered if you could just hang out at Lukenbck for weeks and camp in the woods. Looks like campground all the way back to the bridge. Was there a camp fee or did they just welcome the crowd w/o profit motive?

I should have stopped and talked with ya'll.  I really liked the paint on that 350/4.
I have another picture or two of it and probably your bike too.  I'll post them later.

Fiddy,  here's the website: http://www.harvestclassic.org/

I think the camping was included in the $30 registration fee.
I paid $10 for a day pass this time but I'm thinking of doing the whole thing, camping and all next year. :D

Yeah $30 includes camping for fri. night and sat. night. The fee is for campground, Tshirt, breakfast sat., dinner sat. and alamo draft house movie at the venue. There isnt't any profit, it all goes to the Candlelighters charity. All food and supplies and events are donated by the businesses! Pretty cool event with a great cause.

There are also cabins about 1/2 mile down the main road for around $60 for the weekend (dont quote me on that). The campground is actually not a part of the city.
