Removed carbs for cleaning and 2/3 are vented into the airbox filter assembly, two small holes drilled in housing and tubing stuck thru about two inches please advise if this okay?
Thanks Ken

Theres a plate on the back of the engine they route thru. Essentialy they route to the ground.

If its like a later k series, the two tubes "arc" up and over top of the air cleaner housing. The hoses sort of lay on top of the airbox and lead to no particular port, etc., they just go to the atmosphere. A small plastic clip neatly pairs the hoses together. The carb float chambers vent thru these hoses.
Carbs 3/4 are connected and vent thru one hose, and carbs 1/2 are connected and vent thru the other.

P.S. these are not to be confused with the 4 lower overflow tubes
connected to the bottom of each float bowl.

Drop it to the ground,I have ever done the same on a atv,and this should cause problem. The vacuum in the airbox cause overflow and rich burning at high rpm

Alabama,

The world is small.  I spent almost all of year (00/01) in our Chattanooga office working on a thermal plant in northern Alabama.  It was beautiful country.  Just had a touch of snow last night but it suppose to go to 50F tomorrow.  Motorcycle season is over  for "most" people up here until late March/early April.  Then again I have been seen early in my life on the road in early February; all you need is a snowmobile suit, a good set of gloves and no ice.  Hmmm .. I wonder what the windchill factor is at 0F doing 80 mph  ::)
