I viewed the link to the twins forum & that last pic is not very clear...but from what he is showing it looks like he says that the largest notch on the back side of the advancer fits into the dowel "peg" on the camshaft & I think that shows in that last pic(the blurry one)that the little small "notch" on the outside of the points cam needs to be lined up w/ the big "notch" & peg on the camshaft(which("peg") I think should be facing up when the camshaft is checked for correct valve timing while it is set to one of the marks on the alternator rotor according to the service manual...;you do have a good service manual, right ?!)which is a way to check both your valve timing & your ignition timing.I recommend that you check both of those: valve timing & ignition timing...but check your valve timing FIRST. Get that good service manual for it to make sure it's done by the book. When you have established those two things to be correct, you can check electrical issues in more detail i.e. coil connections & kill switch connections(black wire w/ white stripe),coil to frame mounting (shiny)metal to metal contact, etc.
Sopo,
Do you really have a "pet" deer...like in your Avatar ?
