Topic: 78 cb750 fork compatiblity question

I search quite a bit but no luck-

Got a slightly bent upper fork tube on my 73 CB750 that is causing some major dampening problems and keeping the seal from doin its job so I set out to explore my options

Got a fellow who has an extremely low mileage 78 CB750 he is parting and offered me a near mint entire front end for $20 ! I know it's a great deal but what I don't know is if this is gonna help me .....

Will '78 CB750 forks work on a '73 CB750 using  my '73 caliper or at least with the upper tube work with the rest of what I got ? Any help is much obliged-  trying to skin this cat .
