Intense video. Glad I have never hit any of the locals that hang around the ponds
at the bottom of my driveway.

Thiat guy was lucky to not get hurt and keep it upright.
peace,
michel

Being not all that far from you Bob I know this is so very true. The deer got up and ran away as well as the bike and driver. Looked like he got off easy on the damage.

slamming on the brakes while in the rain and not dropping it was enough of a feat!  i wonder how wet the pavement really was... hard to tell thru the windscreen that i couldn't really see thru.

Kicked a full sized doe in the schnocker doing about 50mph on my 81 1100goldwing interstate a few years back. I'm in northern illinois and one night I'm coming home from one of the small cities on a standard 2 lane state highway ( the cheesy kind of paved highway with mini gravel shoulders).

You are close enough to ride with, cool  ;D I am in the Wisconsin Dells Area. Will have to show you the kick, stomp, spit on, and swear at move for deer.  8)

I did see one guy after he split a deer almost in half on his BMW R90rs.
Deer died, and driver broke almost all his ribs, but lived.

For the massive gut spray from the deer maybe the busted ribs were worth it.  ??? ;D

I believe his mini-fairing saved his life, probably deflected most of the energy.

;D ;D This quote brings me back to a scene from the movie "The Jerk", where Steve Martin gets bashed in the head on the kiddy train. "Yes, I'm ok..I was protected by the bill front of my engineer cap"  ::)

Deer suck........and out here in the boonies they are everywhere. I had a sweet 89 Jetta Carat.....another deal I ran into. It was free from my cousin in Fla., just had to go get it. Got it running from sitting for a year, got it to looking decent and then BAM......a herd ran out in front of me and I smack a doe hard. Went from this..........

to this........

So I fix it........using money planned for a engine and tranny rebuild/hop up. Then a Bambi runs out in front of me and I nail it. Luckily it was so small I just rolled it with no damage to the car. Fast forward about 3 months......just closed a refinancing deal and had some extra cash to build a garage/shop to work on my bikes......then a BIG doe runs out in front of me. I hit the brakes and her at the same time....locking the front tires.....in a curve  ::) and a driveway culvert gets in my way. I did a Duke boy impression over the driveway, almost doing an end-over. Car is totaled  >:(  :'( Could have fixed the deer damage but the culvert pipe took its toll.

That was on the way to work one morning....backroads thru the country.........I dont dare go that way on the 750. I just know one is gonna get me yet.

Did I say deer suck? Just in case........Deer suck  ;D

I live 1/2 mile from the Missouri River in SE South Dakota. I used to love to ride at night, now there are so many of the damned things I won't go out after sunset. Wish they would put a year round season on them, no daily limit.

I clipped a deer one night in my '85 Mustang. Not too bad but pushed the fender back a little. I was so mad partly because it got up and ran away. I jumped out of the car and yelled "Get back here you sum#$%*! I'm gonna throw you on the grill!" Surprisingly, he didn't come back.  ::)

Could've been worse though...http://www.snopes.com/photos/accident/moose.asp
