80's look half fairing
« on: November 22, 2011, 04:21:20 am »
looking for something suitable to dress up the 83' GPz, but turns out that most fiberglass guys either do vintage stuff up to 70's or super modern. Just cant locate anybody doing 80's style fairing, at least not in europe.

so can anybody think of where to get a fairing like in the KVAS/COOL kawis?

Or even somehting RCB1000 style?

TG

Quick addittion, found out that the kawi racer is owned by Wayne Deintjies and was run back at the time by Chris Waterman, if anyone knows how to locate them could ask directly....

I have an Airtech "hammer" half faring on my RCB replica shown below (www.airtech-streamlining.com
There is also a guy in the UK (www.raggededgeracing.com) that makes a full fairing and seat for the Honda RS1000. The upper may suit your purpose.

thanks martin

the hammer is the one i meant by non in europe.... logisitcs will be costly,

i know a guy in airtech whou could give me a discount even (i think), but sending this over + customs will multiply the price

the top half of ragged could be an option, have to see if he'll sell alone.

still, the one i'd want is the green one :)

Ciao TG!

Search on german electric bay.
Search for EGLI.
You should find a seller for the HONDA fairing
and also for the KAWI fairing.

http://www.ebay.de/sch/classic-performance.eu/m.html?hash=item2ea92e36e2&item=200406873826&pt=Motorrad_Kraftradteile&_trksid=p4340.l2562

I´ll hope the link shows you what you want.
And by the way, i don´t know this guy.

Regards, Heinz

I knew Chris Waterman very well, unfortunately he was killed in a home robbery last year...very sad RIP. I gather this is the same Chris as he was involved for many years with Kawasaki France and the endurance race bikes, I believe he also owned a few of them, he showed me many photo's of those bikes.

I know his son and see him often at the track. I will ask him if he has any idea on the fairings for those bikes.

Hey TG,

If all else fails, I have a GPZ (replica) tophalf-fairing, like the one on Wayne Rainey's GPZ, here if interested.

Cheers, Rob

Harrie is awesome!!

He sent me my MV fairing very quickly and very cheap all the way to Canada. Nothing but good things to say about him.
