because its plastic it was way too flexible to use a impact driver. You can be sure I wanted to.
Also I gave heat a lot of thought, the big ass solder iron was what I had in mind. Again plastic is so soft I decided against it.
I tried quick freeze, it did not help at all.
Eventually it decided to drill it out. It actually went really well. By luck or probably just the odds, it went right down the middle.
I went up to the tap drill size for M5, then ran a tap down the hole and I was done. The new screw is a little loose but it should be Ok.
The fuel sending unit is back in. I used Permatex #2 which I have read is good for gasoline, it's not silicone.
I also bought Permatex #3 whick is the Aviation stuff but later read it is only good for between 2 solid surfaces.
We will see.
Not a great picture, I have sandwitch wrap covering the hole to keep the gasoline in and metal chips out.
