Sad sculpture of Marco
« on: December 04, 2011, 07:49:25 AM »

“This 28cm high terracotta figurine was created by Genni Di Virgilio, whose family has been making nativity statuettes and ornate creches since 1830. “It’s a tribute to this great champion, not only on the track but also in his private life. We will miss his smile most of all, his desire to live and win,” said Di Virgilio.”

Gawd that's ugly.  Expect better from people who have been doing this since 1830. Looks like Ronald McDonald. ;D

28cm is almost a foot tall, you can pack a lot more detail on that size even if it is terracotta. (I was a ceramics major, so I know) I thought was pretty sad and terrible sculpture. Toy company can do way better than this.
