Paint Example Question :(

Hey folks ! My 'ol lady is wanting me to repaint her bike. She is wanting to go with a Factory Honda color because it's a Honda  ;D but I'm having a hard time finding examples of OEM colors. I've gone to "colorrite.com" and found that if I input the code for a color paint they show me an example of it but say "Color swatch is just an approximation for reference. It is not an exact color representation." I need to see (what my PC screen will allow) THE color that I'm looking for/at ! I know this is probably a   s t r e t c h , LOL but is there a site where I can veiw different color examples of OEM colors ? I don't know if narrowing it down will help but she's looking for a candy/pearl Purple. Any help,assistance,direction on where to look would be Appreciated.   Thanks in advance,   ...cougar...

What bike and honda colour? If its a mettallic forget looking at it on a pc

Why not just take the original painted part to your local auto body and paint store.  They match up paint every day.

There wasn’t many Honda’s of the era that were painted purple. One was Iris purple metallic on the CB350 and Astro purple metallic on the Japanese K2. Have you considered any other manufactures purple paint? Suzuki, Kawasaki and Harley had some nice shades of purple. Harley called theirs Hi-Fi purple and it was a candy color.

Hey Folks ; First let me say Thanks for the responces so far !! I'll respond in order.  bryan-- She/we hasn't got a clue as to what bike. She's leaning toward a pearl/metallic purple.    Ron-- That would be the easiest but we don't have anything the color she wants,LOL, so that's out :( .   flybox-- I scanned through the pics in the "Vintagehonda" link you gave. Although I didn't see any purples (may have missed it) . The Boss Maroon does look nice.   Dream750-- I appreciate the pics you gave and kept them in a folder for her to look at ! Thanks !   Steve & kcbarsos-- I agree with the both of you !! I (myself) really like the Iris Purple !! Guys I really appreciate all the responces so far ! 51 years old and I'm still finding it hard to please her,LOLOL !!   ...cougar...

Not a bike color but check out the new Chrysler hemi purple. That's what's on my dragster. It rocks.

Stev-o ;  Yep she took a look. She thought the Iris Purple was too blue. At first she thought about the Boss Maroon but after I found a clearer/closer pic, nope too red  :o !    gravygrabber ; I've not been able to find any good Manufacturer sites that show color plates or charts.    Don R ; Found some pics of the New Charger pics that were Plum Crazy Purple, showed them and she said she sorta liked that one. So I've come down to to telling her that she needs to go to the local Sherman-Williams Automotive paint center and take a look at what they have to offer.   WHEW !!!   ..cougar...
