Don't the halogens suck more power than standard sealed beam? If so, the alternator might not handle it and the heat might do in that bucket full of wires you hydraulically stuffed in there.
Not at all. Honda fitted the later 500 and 550 models for Europe standard with 55/60 Watts Halogen. This charging thing echoes on and on (but only in this forum!). Ride the bike like Honda intended it to ride and you'll have no problem. If you crawl around town a lot, riding it like a Harley,
then you might have an issue. Like I mentioned before there's the Philips Ecovision. You'll have the light of a normal 55/60 with 20% less consumption. If you're
not afraid for charging, you can go the other way and select their X-treme Vision H4 60/55W
