Guys,

Have you ever seen a seat like this one?  It came off of a Euro 74' CB750.

 ;D :D ;D :D ;D :D ;D :D ;D :D ;D

LOVE the spelling!   That's exactly what it feels like when trying to type it into Google from memory!

And I agree.  Has a different logo on the side (from what I can make out) but same style.  I've got a photo collection of those seats because one of my winter projects is to create my own.  I'll upload them from the office tomorrow.

That seat does look like my GULLARI(sp?) seat , but seems to be more flat in the rear, as mine is more of a round-ish curve kinda thing
(see below)

I like it though - def. different from all the overused fiberglass cafe seatpans you see all over the place, as that was the main reason i was all about the seat I got...

Keep it - put it on your bike - take some pictures - then people will be emailing you weekely to buy it from ya...
Trust me  ;)

It's what people here are saying it is, and it's worth a fair bit of change - they've sold for $300 or so on eBay.  They do make many models, including for the 550.

<Homer Simpson voice>  "Mmmmm,  Giuliari"  <insert drooling sound here>   ;D

Here are a couple of the pictures I've gathered to help me fabricate one.  Also included are a couple shots of them on bikes.

Guys,
Have you ever seen a seat like this one?  It came off of a Euro 74' CB750.
Sparty

That seat that SPARTY has  is actually made my Gaman, another Italian seat maker back in the day.
I understand that they for some reason went out of business and when Giuliairi got the contract to make seats for Lambretta and Honda.

Gaman seats are actually more rare than Giuliari since the company wasnt around very long (3 years I heard). Ive seen a few of those seats on Kawasaki's &  Motoguzzi's like on this site but never actually seen one on a Honda.
http://s3750motoguzzi.co.uk/seat/originalseat.html

I have an orginal Gaman seat, (w/ original Gaman sticker on the seatpan), for a Kawasaki that I'm thinking of  selling but I listed it at a Giuliari since no one knows what a Gaman seat is...
http://www.sohc4.us/forums/index.php?topic=22933.0

I was gonna put it on either my cb550f 0r cb750f.

you are correct sir.  The sticker on the bottom indicates Gaman.  I wonder how rare it is?  It looks great on my bike.

That my dear friend, is a VERY rare seat... try to do an ebay search on Gaman... nothing..LOL..

Id venture to say that if more people knew what a Gaman seat is and the story behind the company/history, it would be worth more than any Giuliari seat...

If they are anything like the Guiliari then yes they are very comfy - this weekend I rode 280 miles sitting on the bike below....no problem with the seat but after a while the shoulders and sometimes the wrists start to ache a little  ;)

Here is my seat....

Art you should try contacting Axl (he is in Munich and also all-knowing about all things (German) SOHC). If you want his email PM me.

cheers
Andy
