help please, -  how do i identify f2 /f3 cylinders from k series cylinders, also ...... what mods. are reqd. to k series cylinders in order to run f2 cylinder head with them       thanks in advance.    mike

Talk with Jay about doing the mod to the F2 cylinder head so you can use it on a K cylinder.  I am running a F2 head on my 970cc K cylinder motor.  I had Jay do the required sleeves in the head.

Hi fellas, I wouldn't mind knowing also please. It's something different with the oil supply or oil drain off from the oil feed to the rockers but I'm not sure what the change is.

Sleeves need to be installed in the F2 cylinder head in order to use it on a K cylinder.  Sleeves are installed in 4 of the cylinder stud holes as they are open to the atmosphere on the F2 head.  The F2 doesn't use those four holes for oil return but on the K head they are used as oil return.  If you dont sleeve them then you have four open holes in the head that can allow water and dirt to enter into the crankcase down through the oil return drains in the K cylinder.  Oil can also migrate back up through and they you will have oil mist and leaks.  Jay did the work on my head and it is working perfect.

I put shrink tubing on my exposed studs plus blocked the jug portion of the hole - i.e. only the head part of the hole is exposed to elements.
