Topic: Valve Guide Clip - 12211-250-310

Is the valve guide clip (PN 12211-250-310) in the drawing for the 1976 CB750 F the one that's on the valve guide seal? Or is this another valve guide clip that goes on the guide somewhere?

That clip goes on the valve guides to locate their height in the head. They are essentially a stop.

so place the clip on the guide right where it meets the top of the head?  The guide has a grove on it that should stop it.

Also, the drawing doesn't have the valve guide seal on it.

This was answered extremely well on the other forum.  Case closed.  No need to buy the clips if you have aftermarket valve guides.  Do buy the clips if you have (for some reason) OEM guides.
