porting the two hose petcock?
« on: December 31, 2016, 06:21:59 pm »
I was cleaning some petcocks and noticed the rather small size of the fuel passage inside the early petcock. It's nearly as small as one hose nipple. It seems like it may cause a flow restriction. Once upon a time I remember someone mentioning doing some work in there to help flow. Any ideas?

I would like to know this as well but have wondered if you could convert dual to single output

A rubber hose cap will plug one side easily enough. Hondaman says the single feed petcock bikes run a little more lean at WOT.

Frankly I'm surprised a dual flows more judging by how it's built.

Try drilling them... Increase in area from 38-41. Is about 20.percent
Numbers or unit measure dont matter, ratio stays the same.

I was looking at the inside passage, it just seems so small. I'll play with one and post a pic.
