How to add pictures in this forum?
« on: October 04, 2023, 06:18:23 AM »
Hello all,

I am quite new in this forum, i joined because i lurked for a long time, and since i am a new owner of a clapped out CB550F, i thought it would be helpful to join this forum in a more active role.

However, i cannot for the life of me add pictures to posts!
What am i doing wrong? the help-page wasnt helpful, the admins couldnt help me and i just cant figure it out!

I see the Attachments dropdown when i write a post. i can also choose an attachment from my PC and upload it. what i am missing is an INSERT button or function, i cannot insert my pictures in my post (i also cant attach them to the bottom of the post).

I thought there is a x-post minimum before new members can post stuff, but i see people with a post-count of 2 adding pictures.

since i cannot upload pictures (otherwise i would send some screenshots of what i mean) could someone of you make screenshots of the uploading process? i am pretty sure i am missing out on a stupid little technicality...

Thank you all!

Click "Attachments and other options" and look below for the "Attach" section.
Click "Browse" and find a photo you like. This is good for ONE picture.

If you want to share multiple images, you need to host them somewhere. Once your pics are online somewhere, you can look up at the tool section of the post here. Mouse over the buttons up top until you see the one that says insert image, and use that.

Attached images show up at the bottom, and are smaller until clicked on. Images included with the [ img ] tag are going to sit wherever you add the tag, and they are going to be BIG.

Thank you for the reply, bit it still doesnt work.

Do i have to host all the pictures? I cant even attach a single picture (unless its just not shown in the preview of the post).

I see the attachments and other option dropdown, i get to choose an attachment, and then? How to get that attachment actually attached?

I attached a picture with a bunch of handlebars to this post, sent from my phone, lets see if they show up...

Okay, i think i got it! For now. Eventually i'll try embedding pictures...

This preview function is pretty useless, if it doesnt preview everyting.
