New from Massachusetts
« on: January 17, 2008, 09:16:12 AM »
I wish I found this site before I started my bike projects.  I have a 1975 Honda CB 350K (twin) and a 1975 Honda CB 550.  Both run well and I use them mostly to commute to work a few months out of the year, it snows here!

welcome.  I'm new here as well, there's a lot of good info here.  I was lucky to find this place a couple days before I picked up my bike, a 72 cb500.  I've spent a lot of time reading and learning here.  Some of the best posts to me are reading about other people's projects.

It's not supposed to snow here, but today I couldn't ride to work because of white stuff on the ground

Welcome! I'm in metro west of Boston, but ride out to central Ma almost weekly, mostly around the Quabbin, as I used to live in Pelham and Belchertown years ago.

What town in central Mass? I'm in New Braintree. Stop by my shop sometime, lots of CB stuff going on there. Also bead blasting and powdercoating.

Thanks for the responces.  I live in Holden.  Central Mass is great for riding.  What's the address in New Braintree, I'll ride over in the spring.  I would have posted picks but the wife erased them from the digital camera and they are both covered in the shed right now.  I'll post some in the spring.

My 72 CB 350 is red and the 75 CB 550 is green.  I'm thinking of painting it over the winter an original "New England Sports" theme.  Still on the fence though, I like original.

Matt, Welcome from Seattle... Nice looking bikes. I'll probebly be looking for a CB350 myself for the wife or let my wife ride the 400/4 and I'll switch up to a 750. So many thoughts, so little money.

Nice bikes! I particularly like the orange one. Very clean.

There are a few of us around Mass and we have a local forum if interested in meeting up for a ride - see here:

http://nehondaguys.info/forums/index.php

We have a ride to Portsmouth NH this Sunday. There will a CB400, CB750s and a Goldwing (1978) going along + passengers. Then on Wednesday night of next week we are meeting for beers in Walpole. More rides coming up - watch the local forum events.

cheers
Andy

Andy,

Thanks for the invite, but!!!  I have a tough work and personal schedule so most of my riding is either to work or last minute.  I will keep an eye on the site you sent and look forward to riding with the group.
