I was looking at that Megsquirt web page and realized that THEY misspelled it and it is not your fault.

I will contact them today and let them know.
Many websites have misspelled words. Even major companies.

fuel only shouldnt matter. the rpms will just be wrong. are u running the stock firmware or the extra code? i can tell u for sure with that info.

750... i am almost 100% sure it is the stock firmware.

where can i find the specifics on the tunerstudio features? i like to research this stuff myself, but havent sourced a place that tells me what the features in tunerstudio are looking for.

If the controller powered up and connected to TunerStudio the firmware version will be at the top in the title bar. I just looked for about a half hour and could find a specific info for fuel only 2 pulses per rev. I know it will work for one. It looks like maybe it is possible to set it up as a 2 tooth crank wheel with none missing

750, I hooked up the ignition inputs the way that i had them listed. i tested the signal by cranking the the motor and I am not sure if i am getting proper readings. how are you guys capturing the live display to post it on the forum? i would like for you guys to see what is going on and give me your opinion.

Even Fire. Start by pulling the plugs, crank it over and u should see rpm if its setup right. I haven't used base firmware for a while and don't have a stimilator to simulate your input but if u email me your msq I'll take a look. I'll PM u my email.

not yet. still have a few things to tidy up before trying it out.I am doing a front end swap at the same time so I need to order some throttle cables to match the new throttle and throttle bodies.  I just re-configured and calibrated all of the sensors and I am getting good steady readings throughout. I am getting close though.

getting setup for new 36-1 trigger wheel. hall sensor already installed. soon as wheel comes in i post pics of it completed. Spindle that original points cam rides on was shorted along with 5mm bolt and re threaded. Will drill through wheel into spindle for a pin to keep it in time.

Thanks for the pics. I get home from Afghan in a couple of weeks and I'm looking forward to trying to set mine up too. Which wheel did you order? Do you have a link? Also are you going to use the stock coils? I'm planning on using LS truck coils on mine.

750 thanks for the link. I like their selection. I have the truck coils laying around so I figured I would use them. I have done quite a few LS engine swaps so they were free. On my 650 I think I will be able to mount 2 on one side of the frame and 2 on the other. I will know more when I get home. I'll post pics up in my thread. As for staying safe luckily I'm in a really quiet part of Afghanistan however I just heard I'm getting re-located to Kabul so that's going to suck.

well... It fired up first shot. According to my readings though... it is running quite lean... 22.5:1 I am thinking that there is something with the LC-1 and it is not reading properly.

in project properties you need to set wideband, then in tools calibrate afr to the lc-1. My lc-1 works for about 15 min and then something always goes wacky lol. Im about to give up using it. Also an extremely rich mixture can show as a lean reading too. A plug reading is a good way to confirm.

750... I have set up tunerstudio for it but I am still getting maxed out readings. as soon as the LC-1 comes online after warm up, it just pegs out. maybe i am just running that pig rich. I fired it off using your MSQ are you still an 836? if so, i would assume your using a lot more fuel than I am. I think i still need to look over everything in the MSQ. I dont think i have the injector flow rate set up right either.

also, I verified it this morning... kick starting DOES work with the fuel injection....

i am running an old beater 750 engine now. Suprisingly the tuning is very close between a 750 and 836. The injector flow rate is just used in the req fuel calc to get u close. try turning down all the crank, prime, ase and warm up. I have found i was compensating for not getting a good cranking signal with more fuel to get it to start more reliably since i have a good trigger signal now. I figured kick would work fuel only, will have to put kick lever on mine some time and see if it works with spark too. i have a feeling it will. it starts so much faster now with 36-1 wheel. Not happy with the wheel mounting arrangement i have now. working on a better one.
