Is that Maserati made by Aermacchi like the "Harleys"?  The motor looks pretty similar to those old 2-strokes.

No Maserati made their own bikes.

That tank looks good on there Frank..eh?  Was a little concerned about the rigid frame..AND apparently rigid saddle on there. Must be a pretty bumpy ride on anything other than flat pavement..

Have to agree though..hard to find anything that looks tougher than a street fighter set-up SOHC 4 750+. I like my machines a little cleaner than that personally.  Was never much into the rat-rod mentality or aesthetic.

That Matchless OHC thumper that Fastbroshi posted brought back memories too.  Never had an OHC version..but felt my 650 OHV Typhoon version was a real killer back in the late 50's early 60's. Would give any Harley aficionado a real thrill to ride..I'd suspect.

Take care bro..

Hey it just landed in SW Cowtown this afternoon.. So you may see it around.. Stuff will be changed around a bit.  Seat will be sprung.. Probably will get a high pipe....will get a charging system.. And Bill B,s Webers will be on it soon.  Also has a cool. Roto faze distributor ignition that will go on it.

It was set up for flattrack, hence the higher seat.

You never know.. Two small. Lights in a numberplate with 99 or 66 may look like no lights at all..

Is this a XS650 motor in a dirt bike frame? or was this a model I'm not familiar with?
I love the TT and the XT 500's but... I don't remember this bike... none-the-less... I LOVE IT! LOL

Probably XS650, there is a 'sticky up bit' on the 4 bolt valve cover to hold decompressor cable on the earlier motor, but, without stripping engine to measure con-rod length it's probably impossible to check
