It's actually a liquid solvent.

I found a small bottle of this 3M 'Plastic Emblem & Trim Adhesive' that contains MEK and Epoxy resin. It's kind of more like a glue. I wonder if this will work just as well? I'm giving it a try now, will tell tomorrow.

M.E.K. Is a solvent, not a hardner for fiberglass. A better solvent is acetone, because of it's medium polarity.
That means it dissolves a wider range of compounds.

Yes but acetone might be too hot of a solvent and might break down the chemical makeup of the plastic. MEK has been used for decades for ABS, I talked more to the plastic guys out on the shop floor here at work and that is alwasy what they used. You can use THF (tetrahydrafuran) but its mainly for PVC and evaporates too fast to get a good bite in the ABS.
Oh the hardener for fiberglass resin is a peroxide based catalyst I do believe, I can't find info right now but here is a good how to for people that are new to using fiberglass resin.
