550 forks Question
«

Did any of these have Hardchome tubes, & come gaiterless?
I have a front end off a 78 but tubes are not plated by the trees and has gaiters, is it 78 or earlier?

From memory the 550 F and the K3 (77/78) were fully chromed top to bottom and had thedust caps from the 500 twin, all the others had no chrome under the fork ears and gaiters

There was a neck with the forks, marked 78, but I was thinking that maybe they had swapped lrgs or forks at one time.
