I Can Resist Everything,... Except Temptation

Always wanted one, more than 50 years of waiting, so.... a BMW.
I think it looks pretty good for being more than 35 years old.
Cruises down the highway like a smooth cloud, yet plenty enough
power for me when I want it.

Of course, did keep my 1974 CB750 K4

the airhead BMW engine is the best motorcycle engine EVER built, durability wise. my instructor at AMI had one with nearly 300k miles on it and was still showing signs of crosshatch on the nicasil cyilnder walls. those horizontally opposed engines also get the center of gravity lower for better handling too. i love bmw twins.

What a beautiful copy of the old R75! That looks like either a 1976 model or a 1976 disc on a 1975 bike?
I think those are the only bikes that can rival the longevity (without internal maintenance) of the CB750. (Even the Gold Wings need new timing belts at 40k mile intervals.)
They sure handle good, too! It took me a while to get used to the rear end RISING when you are into a corner and crank the throttle. It gives a little MORE ground clearance when digging out of a corner, which could be handy in a race!

You're right! 
I didn't look close enough. All those Beemers looked so much the same design that you had to walk up to the label to see which one it was! 

Those cylinders sure cool well, and keep your feet nice and toasty in cool weather, too!

Here's Part Of The Skinny,

It is a 1975 R90/6.

I believe someone put a drilled rotor up front from a 1976 model.

I do know that on the left side of the rear wheel someone put a chrome "wheel hub cover"
(the best name I can think of) from a 1974 model.

I am going to leave that on, though not truly original, it sure does look great.  Just as
I am going to leave the front drilled rotor on, though it may not be original, I do like the
idea of the drilled rotor running somewhat cooler and safer than a stock non drilled
rotor.

I am not an absolute purist, I simply like a nice looking, safe, good running bike.
