Did it again but in real competition this time, a 1 mile hill climb with lots of corners, sweeping bends and hairpins. Both myself and the sidecar outfit were last minute stand ins hence the wrong passenger name on the caption that the photographer took from the race program. the bike was a GSXR1100.

It was a last minute stand in Scun, as was the outfit.
His Kawasaki broke its gearbox and at 9.30 Friday night, phoned his passenger to let him know they would not be racing. At 10.30 he had the offer of the GSXR outfit and couldn't get hold of his passenger on the phone, he asked me and we did it.

Hi Brent, if you search the photographers gallery, you'll find a couple where I didn't manage to get where I should have been. When you are not in the right place, the G force is out of this world and white knuckles certanly come into it. :D :D :D :D When your bones and muscles are 23,288 days old (I wonder why that was easy to work out) ::) It's hard going on a chair platform. ;)

The useual crap from your cousin on the lower island Brian, he should stick to fishing. ;D ;D ;D ;D

You weren't far off though Scun, it's a sprint/hilclimb outfit and the sticky up bit is to make the outfit easier to stage at the timing lights, similar to getting a drag bike into stage. ;)

I'm not sure, he was busy all week getting a GPZ900 motor into his own chassis. He had it out at the weekend and I spoke to him for a few minutes last night and forgot to ask about the video, he said the GPZ was well under powered compaired to the big ZZR1100 motor.

Don' t think he'll be to happy with the GPZ Sam.
We ran one in a dirt track chair when they first came out.
Had to rev the tits of it to make any power, wouldn't pull the skin off a custard under 4'500rpm.
Not good for a hill climber.

Cheers,
Brian

I've not seen him since Brian. I know he was racing at the weekend because the bike was loaded up on Friday but he wasn't in, he's a shift worker so although he only lives a few hundred yard from me, i don't see him that often. I'll see if I can get him on the phone, don't be going to bed on me. ;D ;D ;D
