I'll show mine if you show yours
« on: February 13, 2011, 08:25:13 pm »
I was scrounging through some of our old paper work looking for some specs on a cam we where using a while ago and found a dyno sheet from the last time we rebuilt our little motor, thought I'd post it on here.
Anybody else got an old dyno sheet they would like to share?
It would be interesting compering curves.
Mike will tell us data will very from dyno to dyno and he's right.
But I still think it will be worth while to comper the stats from different motors visually.

Cheers,
Brian

Oh yer some stats :)

70mm Pistons @ 13.5 to 1 , Honda DOHC 1100 conrods, Honda DOHC 900 crankshaft, 33mm Kehin CR's on methanol, Cam ?,

Sam:

So, how do we get our dyno sheets added to the gallery?

Here's my 836 again:
836cc Wiseco's, 125-65 cam, Mike Rieck stage 4 head, CR29's with 230 main airs, YY7 needles, 70mm velocity stacks, and 138 mains, Dyna 2000 ignition, program 4, 37deg total advance, APE crank, CR750 replica 4 into 4 exhaust.

Take care,
David

Yeah, sorry about that.  Printer connected to the dyno was buggered the last few times we ran her.

51.02 torque at 6,000 rpms.  More than 50 lb/ft from 4k until almost 9k.  78.74 rwhp at 9,000 rpms.

Bigger cam on the way, and I'll triple check my cam degreeing before buttoning it back up.  Should be in the mid to upper 80's when all is said and done.
Take care,
David

I've been watching this. From what little i know, I am impressed with that torque curve. For a street bike, torque is where its at, and that thing will pull like a train right where it needs to.

The horsepower thing is great too, and you'll get it up I'm sure, but I hope (if its a streetbike) that you don't sacrifice that lovely torque.

Dave, sorry I missed a bit off my last post to you in respect of posting in the gallery.
To be honest mate I haven't a clue.  :-[ I'm not very well clued up on computers despite being a mod.
My duties as a mod on the race forum are quite simple and are carried out with the help of a series of little boxes at the bottom of each thread which members can't see, I just click on them to move things about if they are posted in the wrong forum or I can alter your post or delete it if I think it is inappropriate. Sorry I can't help mate, I'm sure if you ask Bob Wessner or SteveD, they will be able to explain.

I'm with you on the issue of torque.  The 127-75 cam should move the peak up 500rpms and add a few lb/ft, but still be pretty flat.  Mike's head work coupled with the bore/stoke/rod-length all factor into the flat, broad "curve."
Take care,
David
