where to get 530 sprockets for 750f ?
« on: May 15, 2006, 09:57:39 PM »
Hello, what is the best place to buy 530 or 520 sprockets and chain for 750f '78 ?  Is it bolt-on and ride or will I need to shim the sprockets to fit correctly?
Please, advice !
Thanks a lot ! -Serge

Siter81 the F uses a 630 sprocket and chain so its not quite a bolt on you need a correct hole pattern too

The stock #650 chain is a tad wider and simply putting the 530s on there will have it a bit offset.  Milling the shoulder off the outside of the front sprocket brings it out enough to match.

Thanks for the replies !  I just ordered 530 upgrade sprockets from partsnmore. I hope they will fit !  partsnmore were out of chains though..
any trusted source of reliable 530 O-ring chains ? and how many links I should order for 15 -41 teeth?   Strange that my front 630 sprocket has 14 teeth ..

Strange that my front 630 sprocket has 14 teeth ..

There are two sizes of front sprocket listed in the '78 manual, 14T and 15T. Partsnmore only lists the 15T. You'll have lower rpms on the freeway and probably get longer life from your chain with the 15T front.

I'm running different size sprockets so can't help with the chain size, sorry :-[

I also would like to get a 75 750F rear sprocket, in 37, 38, or 39 tooth configuration...I've been to their site, and put in an inquiry, but is there an online dealer who stocks them in the US??

Thank You!   ;D
