Fuel Filter CB750
« on: May 23, 2006, 08:48:46 PM »
I have read about the fuel filter suggestion and I like the idea of preventing problems later...
Is there a specific one you recommend?  Any Napa filter with nipple diameter of the existing fuel line?

The biggest problem there is the physical size Dave, you need to find one (or two if you have an early CB750) that will fit without the need to "loop" the fuel line, which of course can cause an air lock in a gravity fed system.

The best kind that I find are the small disposable plastic ones that most bike shops sell for a couple of bucks each, they're less than an inch wide and about an inch long (once the hose is pushed onto the "barbs" at either end) so pretty unobtrusive and won't obstruct the hose runs. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

thanks, yup there's not much room left there for a big clunker type filter.

I put one of those little plastic ones (like Terry mentioned) on my scoot. I put it right off the petcock, as it seemed the best place to put it in-line without getting crazy with fuel line routing.
The last thing I want is for the bike to starve for fuel because of some funky bend in the line...
