Looking for info on sandcasted CB 750 Eng

Can anyone clue me in on when Honda stopped making sandcasted parts?
Or maybe a website that I can look this info up on.  I have a 69 engine and a 72 engine and I do not see the difference that I have heard about.
The engine serial # for the 69 is 1017092 If that helps.
 I thought that it needed to start with a 100 # to be a sandcast.

TM, welcome to the forum.

Sandcast engine numbers start at E1000001 and end at E1007415.

The VIN on mine is 1017898. They may have come over on the same boat.  ;D
