Retro, I hope you don't mind me posting this but I think it echoes what others are thinking.  I completely respect what you are saying and if you want me to take it down I will.

Hi mate, just reading the Gordon kit thread and i think the kit you have should go too RpBet considering he started the thread looking for that specifically, i think its really poor form for Dryden to trump him in his own thread... I would be extremely pissed off if someone did that to me mate, i think you probably would as well. RpBet didn't need to call dibs on it as it was specifically what his thread was all about in the first place.....Just saying bud......

I read the thread and there was a lot of interested parties, so I thought I would give everybody on the thread a shot at it.  Dyrden was the one who responded first.  In retrospect, maybe I should have given RpBet the first shot at it since he did start the thread.  I wasn't sure if I wanted to let it go, so agreeing to a sale at that instant helped convince me to sell.  I have entered into an agreement with Dyrden, so to back out now would be a d!ck move and I suppose so was selling to another guy who didn't start the thread. At this point, I'm damned if I do and I'm damned if I don't.  I have a good reputation as a seller here and don't want to compromise it.  I wasn't trying to screw anybody and I truly believe neither was Dyrden.  He complied with the deal as I worded it in the thread, so I will take the blame for all of this.  I am sincerely sorry to all involved who feel they were wronged.

Really Kev i don't think you have done anything wrong, Dryden should know better, that was the wrong thing to do, it wasn't his place to do what he did......

This is my feeling also. Oh well, wtf can I do now. Hapakev don't loose sleep over it, just be more mindful next time.

Has Anyone heard from Hednut, ?? I will PM him 2nite, If I dont hear from Him I will prepare for Production

I talked to him in the summer, he's no longer making them. However, I didn't ask if he has anything he may be willing to part with. With that said, I am sure he would have offered if he did.

I did not hear from Hednut, I assume he is not involded in these any longer.
Does anyone by chance have andrawings of any of the parts? be easier than reverse-engineering or having tgo make constant changes.
 Anyone that wants these, speakup.

Just about to pick up my frame and everything from the powder coasters today. Wonder how the Gordon frame kit looks now. I feel like a five year old on Christmas morning.

Steve-O I got the fax, thanks, but they are assembly instructions, no measurements of the actual pieces... so rather than trial & error it, I was trying tto get the actual dimensions.
But now it seems, that Ilbikes is getting the original guy to make them again,, that would really screw me up.. its the second or third time I offered to do them, I am basically almost unemployed.. I am running at a loss here.. to make it worse I just oreered 200 plus bux of cutting tools for working on these.. I outlinedc my intentions to work on these over the past 10 days, making sure that no-one else was involved and there would be no conflict...  So now KI dont know hat to do......

Whoa.....I never thought or meant this would happen. In looking for drawings, I talked with my old friend to see if he still had my original ones that I'd given him and that's when he said he'd like to do some more. I don't want you getting hurt. Send me a PM with your phone number and we'll try to get something worked out. Perhaps him doing the machine tooling and CNC Mill part and you the assembly. Do you have the lathe for turning the shoulders of the solid cold-rolled steel down to the inside dimensions of the frame tubing and CNC mill to make the joints? Those cannot be done on home shop equipment as they are a precise fit. The holes being drilled and tapped have to be precise also - again something that must be done on precision mill working machinery.

Again, let's talk on the phone. The last thing I need to deal with is my conscience..... :o

Gordon I will PM you my number, and a good time to phone. I work with a manual mill and lathe, these parts are certainly  a lot less complex, than other parts I have made.  Also have a turret lathe, and surface grinder, and tapper. Holding tolerances will not be a problem..

Anybody see this?

http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=101832.0

Yes, and expressed my interest in a set. Glad to see there's more than one interested machinist who wants to make them. I can't wait for them to be available.
754, hope your employment situation improves. I've seen some of your other threads where your work is shown, quality for sure.

Frank, did you see that Gordon's machinist friend is going to start up again? You may not need to right now but it would be good to have a second source later on.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)
