Cleaning headlight lens
« on: May 27, 2006, 06:10:42 AM »
Has anyone successfully cleaned the inside of the lens on an H4 unit. After 30 years mine seems to have a scum on the glass. I can reach it with a kleenex on a stick, but is there a better way, without damaging the reflector. Alcohol?

Thanks

David

Stop by a pet store and ask for water bottle cleaning brush. Then clean it with mild soap and water. Works pretty good. just make sure you give it plenty of drying time.

A strong magnet a piece of string and a washer covered with a soft cloth should do the job. Putting water in the lens may mess up the mirror surface.
