Kick starter gear removal
« on: February 07, 2012, 04:24:15 am »
I want to remove all the kick starter gear on our HiPo engine.

After stipping the donor motor, this looks very straightforward? Is it really as easy as it looks, (i.e. remove the kick-start shaft complete with all the gear/springs, etc. and close the hole in the clutch cover)?

Thanks Mike, that would have been an expensive modification!

Did you get my second PM re. barrels?

As Mike says, leave the gear to drive the oil pump but you can remove everything else, cut the shaft short and plug the cases.
