Onboard sounds horrible.  :-\
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

Here's an off board Lester, listen to the shift at half track. Although the shift is manual, we have the option to make it fully automatic.

That's cool stuff TG. I know it would be embarrasing, but I might like a few laps on that thing!  ;D

Ok it's now on my bucket list...but who do I send the request to? What the hell a guy can dream.  ::)

Hey Sam, yours sounds almost as titillating man.

That's without the auto shift Brent, any bike can be converted for a few hundred bucks.
You keep the throttle wide open and it shifts up at your pre set revs. It only works on up shifts though.
It can be applied to any manual box.
It is limited to so many shifts but it can be made to work continuous with the right gear but you would need to have a good charging system.
I can supply them if anyone is interested.
The bike needs to be geared higher than the preset revs so it doesn't see those revs in top gear, otherwise it will be looking for another gear when there aren't any. ::)

Almost sounds like a two-stroke!

I notice they have obscured the dashboard on the video?

btw: i remember, once i did repairs on a 50ccm hercules/sachs transmission, which is known to have the predecessor (first generation, now honda does have the 176th generation however :) ) of this sort of transmission (ziehkeilgetriebe). it was a pain to adjust it to have proper gear changes again.

Mec I have a Sachs, Hercules here 78 I think... would it be  a shifter type. Are you familiar with CIMATTI City BIKE.. dont know how it shifts but it is very smooth, rode one a few years here..

well, i have here some detail drawings and it's a "bit" more complex than the Sachs setup :) Even Vespas had a sort of forkless shifting via an internal cross moving aling the shaft.

Will post some pics later, you'll need a PhD in engineering to understand....

That would be quite the trick, getting two gears engaged at once with only one driving on our rides.

You just need to adapt a Wilson Preselector.  Not new technology, they've been around since at least the 30's.  The modern equivalent is the Tiptronic / Paddle shift.

Just watched the Honda GP bike video , and all I can say is HOLY CRAP !!!!!! .
Having been involved in a few "leary" back end slides braking into bends myself in the dim and distant past . I thought the downshifts allied to the slipper clutch doing its stuff whilst he was braking were AWESOME  8) 8).
