Mid-Life retirement gift..you bet!
« on: March 13, 2012, 07:28:28 PM »
Well, I did it. Yup. Sure did.

On order with deposit, hard to find and very limited numbers.  2012 Guzzi V 7 Cafe Racer.

Also hard to find any "real" shots but the red is Candy Apple, leather tank strap, red stiching in the seat etc..etc.

Should be around three (3) weeks and a 270 mile drive to pick it up.

Jazzed..real jazzed.  ;)

I have no idea what they are saying but it gives you the idea of what it looks like.

The dealer is getting two (2) of these, three (3) weeks out.  Both sold yesterday, getting harder to get. One is mine.  ;)

I was thinking it was a bit too quiet, apart from that beaut.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

I love the Guzzi's and that is a beautiful bike. I think the italians have a flair for design. I traded for a 71 ambo about a year ago. needs resto but for now I just like looking at it. Congrats!

It has a nice steel tube frame, not a junk aluminum frame.

I want to retire................. I would love me one of them. A guy goes past our work every day on a late model Guzzi and it sounds great.

Has anyone ridden one of these?  I road a classic V7 model and thought they were underpowered.  They look fantastic, just wanted to see if anyone else had any opinions.  For now I will stick with my 850 t-3.....

From what I have read they changed the fuel injection, made over 170 changes to the engine including 10% more HP and 12% more torque.

Still, many articles state the torque is great for canyon, spirited riding and city but out on the open road underpowered.

I don't rip it up anymore. Did that on the Hayabusa. Lucky to be alive.  ;)

It's not for everyone but at 436 pounds wet it should be fun. At least for me. Still hard to find any info on the 2012 model. Everything is still 2011 specs. All sold from what I hear.

The 2012 motor has single Y intake and one throttle body. Black heads instead of polished.
