kk. So after I prime it I can't turn it upside down? Dang the only real way I'm working on that part of the engine is with it upside down I don't have an engine stand. hmmmm I'll have to figure something out. Not only that but going back into the bike, the motor is going to have to be laid on its side to get the frame over it. Lots of complications there!
Leave the pump out.
Put the oil pan in place to protect the gasket surface while you put the engine back in the frame. Once the bike is up right you can take the pan back off and install the pump. It's not that hard to remove and install the pump while the engine is in the frame.
