Battery charger... or conditioner?
« on: May 04, 2012, 07:05:38 am »
Hi guys - looked around for a while in the FAQ and other threads, not sure if there's anything on this yet...

I want to get myself a battery charger, for the CB550F2 in my garage.

Now - is it better a charger or a conditioner?
Any tips on the model/specifications to go for?

Thanks in advance

I use a Yuasa one that charges then shuts itself off charging until the voltage drops a bit and charges again. The first one on this page http://www.yuasabatteries.com/chargers.php

I got smart charger at TSC. $20 on sale it charges and switches to maintenance once fully charged.

I just bought that same one. My local cycle store was having a big sale and I got it for $19.95. I think I scored. I can't wait to not fry my battery this winter.

hey all - i'm gonna need this thing quite fast

did ˜120 kms today, and the bike died on my at the very last traffic light (chance is always with the beginners), with some juice on it but clearly not enough to restart it (warm engine)

i had the lights on all the time, guess i'll have to recharge the battery now and look for something sucking the power away?
