That last post was about polishing, not masturbation. I'm a lot better at that.

Well that's good to know Adam, you never know when you're gonna need a skill like that............  ???

I guess the thing I don't like about polishing is that it's kind of pointless, and once you polish something once, you either let it tarnish and look like #$%*, or you spend the rest of your life polishing it when you can be riding, or drinking beer, or better still, riding and drinking beer.

When I was a teenager before I joined the army I had hair that went all the way down to my arse, and I still remember getting it all cut off and marching back to the barracks, and for the first time in my life having a cold neck. I like it short now, I also get bored brushing my hair. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

... down to my arse.

Hey Terry - have a look in my CB450 project post and give me some feedback on the seat pan will you?

I think you should put your wheels on before you try to ride that bike Cliff.

And the forks.

And the engine.

etc...

So - I reckon after all your rim searching that you are on the right track with those Sumoto's, what's the next part of the project going to be?

Other than building the wheels I have to re-build my forks. I still have a little painting to do. I have the primer and paint to do the battery box and swing arm, but I haven't gotten to paint them yet. I may bring them to work so I can do it in the warehouse. That way I don't have to wait for a nice day to do it. I'm still not sure how I'm going to paint the tank and covers? Abby doesn't like the sparkle blue in the covers, so she may talk me into painting them instead of just clear coating. I need to pick up some fork oil so I can put the forks together soon. Do I need fork oil, or can I use something else?

I read somewhere on the forum where someone used ATF instead of fork oil - but why do that when you can buy fork oil?

Yeah, if you just wanna paint some side covers, I've probably got an old set here Adam, I guess it would be a shame to paint them, I think they're the only clear set that Joe's made? ;D

Cliff, I'm glad you cut your hair short, in that pic you had an uncanny similarity to Kenny G. Kenny G blows. I think your seat pan needs to be shortened, but I'd need to see it with the wheel in place to be sure? ;D

I won't paint them even if I go with a different color. Just clear coat.

Yep, and stop listening to Abby, lovely person as she undoubtably is, she's still a woman, and women don't know #$%* about bikes. Cheers, Terry. ;D

True. She said she doesn't like the sparkles in it. I think I'm gonna make it blingtastic.

I share Terry's posts with my wife and she pisses herself laughing at them.

Then I go work in the shed 'cos the couch is too wet to sit on for a while.

Sorry about that mate, some women can get a bit uppity if you let them, so it's important that you explain to her that she really shouldn't concern herself with important things like "Mens Business".

Take her for a walk around the house and point out a few areas that need some janitorial attention, or perhaps suggest that she cooks you a lovely meal, and that'll just reinforce her place in the pecking order.

Of course, if it's a nice day and she still looks good in a swimsuit, you might suggest that she make herself useful and give your bike a thorough wash while you supervise, whilst refreshing yourself with a couple of cold ones of course.

Oh, and I'm glad you got a ride in mate, it's winter here and I'm so looking forward to the warmer weather! Cheers, Terry. ;D

Well, good and bad news. Bad news, I rolled my ankle playing basketball last night and can barely walk. Good news, I took of work since I can't walk, so I'll be able to work on the bike a bit today. My wife just left to see if she can get me some drugs before she goes to work. I'm gonna order the Sumoto rims today. $110 for the front $120 for the rear. I'll have to see how much shipping is. I think they said it should be around $40. Not bad for brand new rims.

Bugger - hope the ankle gets better soon, must make driving a fork difficult.

But like you say - you now get a day on the tools, and today ain't looking too bad to be working in a tent.

I may even get to hang some parts from the cloths line and spray some paint if it clears up! Driving the fork with a bad ankle isn't as bad as getting on and off of it. Chemist was closed so I didn't even get any drugs. I need a bottle of whiskey to self medicate. It's days like this that I miss having a car.

They look just like the DID rims. I'll post pics when I get them in my hands. I had a hard time with their website as well. I don't think their english website is all that good.

Ha ha, no worries mate, and give her my apologies, I didn't realise that she's a fellow rider, so she's got my respect. Those VMax's are pretty quick, but my Rocket III is quicker, so as long as there are no pesky corners in the way, tell her to "bring it"! ;D

Sorry about your ankle Adam, I've done that a few times, so I know where you're coming from. Forget painting today, (or for the next few days, for that matter) today is the coldest winter day we've had this year I'm told, so not even close to what you need for painting, switch your brain off for awhile and polish something instead. Cheers, Terry. ;D

It's not perfect, but it's as good as I'm gonna do.

I guess I need to get some fork oil so I can get the forks put back together. I need to clean the headlight ears a little, but other than that I'm ready to put them together. I have a parcel to pick up at the post today. I'm hoping it's my spokes! Abby ordered me a b-day present, so it could be that. I don't know what it is?
