Welder needed (Terry - do you know anyone?)
« on: June 08, 2012, 08:06:46 PM »
I just received a set of "Denco" replica expansion chambers for my Kawasaki H1A.  Due to Aussie Post's stupid packaging rules each one had to be shipped in two pieces.  I need a great welder to finish them off.  The guy who makes these is an artist when it comes to welding (even my wife commented on the quality)

FYI, spanish post do also have size restrictions, but they only apply if you want to send something; they will reject it at the post office. I have had exhaust sent from Germany and the spanish post delivered to my door.

Seems that the delivery companies have agreements with foreign companies -i.e., spanish post will deliver german post, but another company will deliver german GLS parcels etc. As the foreign company may have different restrictions, they find agreements based more on economics than on keeping with the other company's regulations. So they make exceptions in those cases.

G'Day Trevor, give Clyde Wolfenden (Rex's brother) a call at C&C Engineering, (94694774) Clyde's about the best motorcycle engineer I know, if he can't weld those chambers up as good as Jim, I'll eat them! Cheers, Terry. ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

Thanks Terry.  Someone else suggested Rod Tingate.  It's nice to know there are some craftsmen out there still..
