Hey Kyle.....I didn't think you'd mind passing that one along since we didn't buy it.

Did you get the K1 yet?

No don't mind passing this one along.  I already got a K5 now all I need is papers for my k4 and i will have k1 to k6.

I am pretty excited about the K1 should be an interesting project.

Damn it Kyle! I have a house payment too ya know! I figure buying this saved me $1500 by not getting the 500. Although after I fix the 750 it will probably cost about 5 grand :) :)

Hopefully you will get 5K and not cost 5k.  If you are going to do engine work I know of a great machine shop that does quality work at reasonalble prices.

As for a little history on your bike I am pretty sure I have seen it around North Syracuse on a regular basis.  Not too many like that around.  If it starts right up it could be a good deal.  Dan might not go lower as he has been doing pretty good on these 750s lately.

Get rid of that exhaust and repalce witha decent 4 into 1 and you will be on your way.

Side covers are trashed, but the tank is pretty nice. Really oily. Lots of oil on all of the fins right below the valve cover. Hope that's nothing major ;)

It won't be major mate, but it will be an "engine out" job, sadly. Great pickup though, and if the thought of removing your engine to fix an oil leak is too much for you, sell it to me! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Most of that is long gone.  Only have some odds and ends left.  So you are going for the whole restoration thing?  No cafe plans for this bike?

Not sure yet. Rims are pretty pitted, so they might need to be coated.

Nice bike for cheap, congratulation with it.

I am entering in pretty late on this thread, but I have to row up with Delta, he has a point. The CB500 K and the CB550 K are both great bikes to ride. I have had MANY CB500/550 K's and MANY CB750's. Depending where to ride, I defenitely would prefere the CB500/550 K's on the winding roads, so nimble and good balance. More than enough power. The CB750 is a great bike, but not a great bike on the windings roads. You have to press it down in the curbs and work it up agian. MC Journalists at that time had the same conclutions. I am 183 cm high and weight 82 kg. Seating position for long rides is comfortable on a CB750, but when it comes to fun riding, I would choose the CB550. The bike is not as heavy as the CB750 and more power/ccm. Just try them.
...if you got the ability to act...

Terry is correct in my opinion. And my bike is a 500  ;D

If I could have just one more SOHC it would be the CB400, but the 750 the icon.

Our local Harley dealership has a museum and it is constantly changing it's shows. Some time ago it had a display called "The Rise and Fall of the British Motorcycle Industry", it had a hundred beautiful British bikes inside displayed in chronological order and little stories about each one as you walked along. The last bike was a CB750.

But no-bo-dy denied that. I represented what insiders in the motor industry (like Porsche and De Tomaso) and several motormagazine cracks worldwide have said back then.

Ofcourse. Some prefer an icon.

Where does the 500 rank? To be honest I couldn't care less. At the moment I have both a cb550 and a cb750 .......... and I like them both. The 550 is much more agile than the 750 but the 750 has gobs more power and which one I choose to ride depends on my mood. Yeah I know the 550 isn't a 500 but they're close enough for a fair comparison.

Unfortunately the 750 isn't mine and were planning on delivering it to my oldest son next weekend but the more I've been riding it the more I'm liking it which means I'll be looking for a 750 for my very own soon.
