Fixing ends on stock coils
« on: June 25, 2012, 09:19:00 AM »
I am trying to use my stock coils but half of the ends were broke or got broken so I pulled them off. Do I need specific ones or can I find some at my local auto store?

car parts can not be used..

its possibel to fit new vires to old coils..have to cut them open..to do it...search..and find

If you're referring to the spark plug caps... All of the auto stores I've been to don't carry them. The need to be "resistor" caps (they have a 5k ohm resistor built in) Honda/Powersports shops often have them... I just buy them online... last set I got from BikeBandit.

you need these, you can use four angled ones if your leads are long enough,,if not youll need two straight ones on the inside pair which i think are sd05f?

Ok thanks guys. Do the wires come out of the stock coils or not?

They do not...
There are a few options for replacing the wires... NGK Splicers, cut open your coils, or just cut the wire close and make your own splice. ..

I just did the last option there on my 550.

A search will return the details of those.
