I wouldn't consider it a summer beer, more fall-winter and it may be hard to find outside of Michigan. It's called Dragon's Milk. Stumbled on it in Holland, MI, home to the brewery, last week while on vacation. A couple of provisos though. You have to like stout, and have something of an affection for bourbon. It spends part of its life in old wood barrels previously used in the making of bourbon. Oh, and one other thing, its alcohol content is 10.5%. A nice treat beer.  ;)

Spent a little vacation time in cottage country, Muskoka Ontario last week and I really like this craft IPA.

I was drinking Yuengling Lager but have since found Yuengling Black & Tan, which I enjoy more.  My boss gave me a bottle of Arrogant Bastard Ale to sample, $52 for a case of 12 :o :o.   Saving it for a special occasion, which may be today as I got the WOBBLE out of my new to me Pacific Coast...Larry

Gonna have me some of this tonight. Too early in the season, but they make by far the best fall ale.

North Coast Brewery, Old Rasputin.

I don't drink normally, but after all that engine work this weekend I decided on a pizza and 4 pack.

At the moment the old taste buds fire on ice cold Steam Whistle. But then next week it could be a growler or three of Killanan Alt beer.

Usually Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat. Sometimes I get boring and drink labatt blue.. Left Hand Brewing makes a milk stout that rivals guiness in flavor all day, and us good with a chocolate chip cookie..

I drink all sorts of stuff.

Angry Orchard Crisp Apple can often be found in our fridge as well.

Cock ale, is a beer type that is in a recipe book I have called the "Complete home winemaker and Brewer". It involves submerging a cooked chicken in the beer while it is brewing, which down here takes up to 15 days.
Never had the intestinal fortitude to try it. However the homebrewing beer thing saves thousands of bucks per year and tastes great.
